| 酒評 | Monica Larner: This was another difficult vintage with little sunlight to push the plant evolution forward. In fact, early-ripening varieties like Merlot did well, and Castello di Ama produced a terrific bottle of its L'Apparita in this vintage. But Sangiovese is another animal, and Sergio Manetti debated whether to produce the 1987 Le Pergole Torte or not. The results are thin and easy-drinking. The bouquet has some rough spots, with a dried mushroom aroma that Martino Manetti says can emerge with longer maceration times. The oak imprinting also feels strong here, as if it never integrated into the wine's thinner context. Dry tannins, some sharp acidity and a point of bitterness characterize the mouthfeel. |
