| Tasting Notes | David Schildknecht: Decadent lily and rose petal perfume scentsBoxler's imposing 2011 Gewurztraminer Brand, along with intimationsof marine breeze and toasted nuts that offer welcome counterpointas well as saliva-inducing savor on a silken, expansive palate. There is a sense of lift here, too, that I did not find in otherGewurztraminers of Pinot Gris of the present collection. While thepeppermint, cinnamon and salted caramel that emerge in the finishlend a decidedly confectionary tone, the wine's sweetness issupportive rather than obtrusive. I would plan to enjoy it through2018. |
